Christmas in Daejeon

The entire mission met in Daejeon for our Christmas celebration.
We hope you enjoy the next 8 blogs as we share our holiday with you.

Gift Exchange

Elder Kim's attire helped start the party off right.
Gift exchange time.
Which box has the best treasure?

Bath time will be so much fun now for you Elder Lee.

Sister Ahn will now have the cutest bathroom in the mission but wait.......what just happened..... A quick steal by Elder Routt allows him to be the proud owner of

the toilet seat cover Elder Routt, it takes a "REAL" man to decorate his bathroom in pink.

SMILE

Picture time
It is no small feat to get everyone lined up for a picture. Some last second changes by Sister Furniss....and...

KOREA DAEJEON MISSION

Time just to be together

Cup Stackers

THE CUP STACKER WINNER
Sister O'Bryan These missionaries try to move the colored cup from the bottom to the top of the stack, then.... cup by cup try to get it to the bottom again.
It takes alot of air to accomplish the next challenge.
Blow up the balloon,
then using the air inside the balloon
push a stack of cups down and off the table.

MINUTE TO WIN IT

Our missionaries took on challenges with a minute or less to
accomplish each task.
Here our Elders are trying to put as many noodles as possible in
a cup in just one minute.

Keep 'Um Up

Elder Fertig shows how to accomplish this challenge.
Keep three balloons in the air at the same time.
If one touches the floor.....
you will not be in the winner circle.
Sister Lee and Sister Sherwood ready for the signal to start.

Chop Sticks Anyone?

We have all grown accustomed to and accomplished at eating with chopsticks
but
can you stack lip balm containers with them.
You have
A MINTUE TO WIN IT

SHAKE IT

Elder Nye shows the winning strategy for getting 8 ping pong balls
out of a tissue box,
that is strapped to his back.

Great to See You

Elder Duncan, Elder Young, Elder Draper, Elder Meigs, Elder Jolley,
Elder Carter, Elder Lund, Elder Wixom
Our missionaries clear customs at about 10:30 p.m., then it is out to the curb, onto the bus, and head for Daejeon. We arrive at the mission home about 1:30 a.m., but their spirits are high.
The next day includes a traditional Korean meal
Time in the office and ....find out who their new companion will be.

Ready to "Plant A Tree"

The transfer board lets our new missionaries see who will be their companion. Then.....they meet. The true meaning of life is to plant a tree Under whose shade you do not expect to sit. These incredible missionaries are prepared to give that type of service here in the Korea Daejeon Mission.
